Veteran’s Table
About
Veteran’s Table is a story about fire, brotherhood, and the battles that don’t end when the war does.
Jack “Gunny” Walker lights the pit every morning before the sun rises. Not to sell ribs, but to hold himself together. Alongside him stands Doc, the corpsman who still hears the screams. Miguel, the loud one, hides fear with jokes. DeShawn, quiet and sharp, runs the books like he’s trying to solve something deeper. And Ray—Ray’s gone silent, slipping further away.
Together, they open Veteran’s Table, a no-frills barbecue joint built with calloused hands and broken hearts. It’s not about food. It’s about survival. It’s about showing up. It’s about holding the line for each other when the fight comes home.
But when Ray disappears and the cracks start to spread, these men have to do what they’ve always done. Rally. Adapt. Overcome. Not with rifles this time, but with loyalty, grit, and the fire still burning inside them.
This isn’t a war story.
It’s a story about what happens after.
